Tribal Health Policy Specialist

The Tribal Health Policy Specialist is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing health policy, programs, regulations, and legislation and their impact upon Tribes, tribal health facilities/programs, and American Indian populations (with an emphasis upon the 27 Tribes in the AASTEC Service Area). This position is responsible for project planning, development, or coordination of policy projects; conducting policy research and analysis; policy monitoring; and preparation and dissemination of health policy related technical reports and other communication products. The Tribal Health Policy Specialist will also serve as a point of contact to tribal partners for technical support on health policy issues.

Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor

The Substance Abuse Counselor will engage tribal community partners, adolescents, and families in substance use prevention and intervention services. The counselor will develop, organize, and conduct educational sessions to enhance awareness of substance misuse in tribal communities. Intervention services include individual and group counseling for adolescents and their families in a school-based setting. The counselor will be responsible for intakes, screenings, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. They will consult with the behavioral health clinicians, certified peer support worker, and other behavioral health professionals in a multi-disciplinary team.

Program Audiologist

Are you looking to make a difference?  Join our non-profit organization where the focus is on service, not sales.  You will work in a collaborative environment with other audiologists, medical providers, and health care technicians to improve lives through diagnostic and dispensing audiology.  Overnight travel is required, up to one overnight trip per week.  A company-leased vehicle is provided for travel/work purposes.

As a Program Audiologist with Albuquerque Area Indian Health Board, you will have the opportunity to see unique parts of New Mexico and Colorado, and experience vibrant cultures as you serve Native American communities. Albuquerque is close to many attractions including Santa Fe and Taos ski areas, hiking trails, natural hot springs, and impressive historic sites. Albuquerque is also home to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the largest hot air balloon event in the world.
