Wade Adakai is a Diné filmmaker, photographer, and actor specializing in Indigenous education, healthcare, and event coverage. His work focuses on storytelling that amplifies Indigenous voices and preserves cultural traditions.
Married to Amanda Adakai, with two sons, Wade draws inspiration from his family and heritage. He is Tłʼááshchíʼí (Red Bottom People), born for Táchiinii (Red Running Into the Water People). His maternal grandfather is Áshįįhí (Salt People), and his paternal grandfather is Bitʼahnii (Folded Arms People).
Wade is also known for his role as Officer Gary Felix in Dark Winds, contributing to a celebrated cast that brings Navajo stories to a broader audience. Beyond his creative work, he explores Navajo theology, connecting its spiritual and philosophical depth to contemporary life.
